- Do you consider being a writer a gift or a curse?
My answer depends on the day. Some days it’s a curse because I have so many stories to tell but not enough time to write them. I want to write all the books, but I also work full-time and have a family that I can’t neglect too much or they get testy. LOL
Other days it’s a gift to be a writer. I love creating worlds and driving my characters crazy.
2. Which one of your characters is your favorite and why?
Tough question. All of them. No, I’d have to say Detective Harry Hunter from my Tattoo Crimes Series. He’s a two-fisted coffee drinking, lovable grump. Even though he’s 55, he still gets it on. 😉
3. What’s the best writing advice you’ve ever received?
Shut up. Sit down. Write.
4. What’s one of the craziest things that has ever happened to you?
Don’t judge me. 😉 When I was in my twenties I was leaving work and got pulled over for suspected DUI. However, I had not had a drop of alcohol, but was playing with my CD player (that’s how long ago this was. LOL). The cop came up to my window and asked if I knew why he was pulling me over. I, of course, told him no, except then it occurred to me that I may have been driving slow due to fixing my music. I swear the officer was embarrassed that he even pulled me over. In the end, no ticket, no arrest.
5. What’s the best compliment you have ever received about your writing?
The best compliment is when someone buys one of my books and leaves a review. And whether the review is good or bad, it doesn’t matter because someone took the time to read the words that I wrote. ❤
